Frump gains CTSI award renewal
Andrea Frump, Ph.D. (renewal), Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep and Occupational Medicine, was among the recipients of the Indiana CTSI's 2016-17 TL1 Postdoctoral Training Awards. The awards, funded by the Indiana CTSI, with partial funding by the National Institutes of Health, National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, Clinical and Translational Sciences Award, and institutional support, are focused on improving young scientists. She is studying molecular and translational approaches to right ventricular failure.
Reed, Carlos garner faculty awards
Virginia Reed, adjunct professor of clinical medicine, Internal Medicine and
W. Graham Carlos, Assistant professor of clinical medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep and Occupational Medicine, were honored during the IU School of Medicine's Annual Senior Banquet and Awards Ceremony. Reed received a Basic Science faculty award while Carlos was awarded the Golden Apple Award for their efforts in working with students. In it's 43rd year, the banquet serves as a means of recognizing students and faculty prior to graduation ceremonies.
