Trio to study response to chemotherapy drugs

, Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology and Clinical Pharamology were recently awarded R01 funding to develop computational and functional approaches to better predict which genetic variants affect patient response to two chemotherapy drugs, paclitaxel and clofarabine.
Janowicz receives Local Hero Award
Diane Janowicz, M.D.
assistant professor of clinical medicine in Infectious Diseases, received one of four Local Hero Awards from the American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) and the IU National Center of Excellence in Women's Health at the Women In Medicine reception on Sept. 17. The award is given to women physicians who have made an impact on their community, whether with tireless patient care, great mentorship or other activities that demonstrate a zest for medicine and zeal to make a community healthier.
