The Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship of Indiana University uses the ERAS system for processing ALL applications. Please refer to the web site below for further information on ERAS. Our program will take new applications until August 15; we greatly appreciate early applicants. The interview season is from August to October.
Note: You must go through the ERAS system. We are accepting no direct applications or reference letters. Any unsolicited documents mailed will be discarded.
Our program is not able to accept applications for those with H1-B visas.
The following information is required in order for your application to be considered for review by our fellowship committee:
- Complete the ERAS application process, including all USMLE scores available
- We require four reference letters filed on your behalf. These letters should come from individuals who can evaluate your clinical skills. It is mandatory that at least one of these letters comes from a member of the pulmonary/critical care division at your institution, and one from your EM residency program director or designee.
- Emergency Medicine applicants must submit a letter from their program director that stipulates that they have completed the pre-requisite requirements for admission to an IM CCM fellowship program as per the ACGME’s requirement (below). Click here for a copy of the template letter.
Fellows from ACGME-accredited emergency medicine programs should have completed at least six months of direct patient care experience in internal medicine, of which at least three months must have been in a medical intensive care unit.
Please submit all required documents through the ERAS Fellowship Documents office (EFDO).
Currently there is no separate ERAS application portal for the CCM standalone program, so apply to the IU P/CCM program put “CCM fellowship” at the top of your personal statement. We will know which program you are applying to based upon your credentials, but this will help as clarification.
Thank you for your interest in our program!
